The Snail Banjo

The pot is a French-walnut block rim with a moso tonering and a John Balch skin head. The unique shoes are specially made to have a bigger surface area offering more contact with the pot. The tailpiece has been designed to fit tightly on the tension hoop and maintains correct position when adjusted for height. All this makes the banjo is loud and responsive, with a balanced and well defined tone. The neck is baked maple (AAA flamed) with moso fretboard, peghead overlay and backstrap. Fancy inlays and a carved heel too ! It is traditionally built with a baked maple dowel stick and has a 2 way trussrod. Hardware is high quality antiqued brass including Gotoh tuners with tortoise buttons.
